Auditions

The ŔÖ»˘Ö±˛Ą Theatre & Film Department and the Student Drama Association are holding a combined audition for two exciting productions this fall:
- Historical Comical: A Shakespeare Double Bill
Directed by Tom Robenolt – two bold Shakespeare cuts, one unforgettable night of theatre. - Winter Shorts
A festival of student-directed one-act plays presented by the Student Drama Association.
All performers, regardless of experience or gender, are encouraged to audition.
Audition Dates & Times
General Auditions:
- Saturday, September 6, 2025
- 12:00 – 3:00 PM
- Location: UAF Fine Arts Complex, Great Hall (check in at the audition table).
Callbacks (by invitation only):
- Sunday, September 7, 2025
- 2:00 – 5:00 PM
Note: You may be cast without attending callbacks.
Auditions are open to all! (walk-ins welcome; first-come, first-served).
Production Information

Historical Comical: A Shakespeare Double Bill
Directed by Tom Robenolt
Performance Dates: November 6–8 & 14–16, 2025
Venue: Lee H. Salisbury Theatre
- The Comedy of Errors: highly physical, movement-based, playful interaction.
- Henry V: focus on ensemble work, rhythm, and text clarity.
- Audition Prep: Prepare one of the (memorized or familiar) or bring your favorite Shakespeare monologue.
- Bonus: Bring an instrument, circus tricks, movement skills, or other hidden talents—we want to see your creativity!
Cast size: 12+ roles

Student Drama Association
Performance Dates: October 9–12, 2025
Venue: Lee H. Salisbury Theatre
- A selection of 2–3 one-act plays, each directed and designed by UAF students.
- Small casts, ranging in style and tone.
- Audition Prep: Bring a short monologue of your choice, OR prepare one of the (also accepted here).
Cast size: 10+ roles

You must be in town for tech week and performance dates to be cast.

Prepare a short monologue or . Be ready to move, play, and show your range of skills.
Auditions will take place in the ŔÖ»˘Ö±˛Ą Fine Arts Complex. Please check in at the AUDITION table in the UAF Great Hall. Please arrive 10 minutes early to auditions for check-in and photos.
